my story
Hi, I'm Sha-lohm.
Ever since I can remember, I've had a paintbrush or pencil in my hand.
I grew up surrounded by creativity. My mum was an artist for many years, so art was woven into everyday life from a young age. I was constantly drawing, painting, filling homework pages with little sketches and getting lost in creative ideas. Looking back, I think I always felt a deep pull toward creating and telling stories through art.
I've long been fascinated by the way art can hold emotion and meaning. Something as simple as paint, charcoal or pencil can somehow become something that sparks a memory, a feeling or a connection with someone else.
I'm deeply inspired by life itself, by nature, people, colour, emotion and the countless little details and wonders that often go unnoticed in everyday life. I love how everything in the world is connected in its own unique way and how even small moments can carry so much beauty.
I believe life is a beautiful gift meant to be lived and enjoyed, and I believe creativity is a gift too. I don't think creativity belongs only to artists. I think we all carry creativity within us and express it in different ways.
Through my work, I hope to spark joy, creativity and connection, and invite people to slow down, notice beauty and reconnect with a sense of wonder.
